1973 Plymouth Roadrunner
A True American Muscle Car!
The Plymouth Road Runner is a muscle car introduced by Chrysler in 1968. The 2- door Road Runner combined a powerful engine with a basic trim level to compete with other muscle cars such as the Pontiac GTO, Chevrolet Chevelle SS, and the Oldsmobile 442. It was an initial sales success. Like most muscle cars, its performance and sales declined in the later 1970s due to an increasing focus on fuel economy and the adoption of more stringent U.S. emission standards.
