1967 Chevelle Super Sport Convertible
The automobile marketplace was changing significantly during the 1960s. Muscle cars were manufactured in the United States in the mid 1960s or early 1970s (the specific year range is usually from 1964–1973). It was a new category of high-performance American cars – an intermediate sized car fitted with a large displacement V8 engine. The Chevelle Super Sport, or SS, represented Chevrolet’s entry into the muscle car battle between automakers.
This Chevelle SS 396 is a special car. The stock combination of marina blue with a black convertible top and black interior is still owned by the original owner and looks like it just came out of the showroom! In fact, the owner of this beauty is a friend who loves sharing stories of driving this SS 396 over the past 50 years! Now you can use this for your special event, photoshoot or movie. This marina blue car would look good around the picturesque waters, boatyards, dunes and estates of eastern Long Island.
