The first Cadillac “Coupe de Ville” was shown during car shows in 1949. The Fifth Generation DeVille came out in 1977. It was Cadillac’s 75th anniversary and the downsized DeVille coupes and sedans were introduced. Still designed as a luxury car for its time.
