Our “North Fork Scavenger Hunts” are self-guided scavenger hunts to explore and find famous landmarks, iconic treasures, and secret spots on the North Fork, many that of you probably didn’t even know existed. It is a trip back in time – a time when life was simple (and still is). It’s an opportunity for you to spend quality hours on a special adventure with family and friends.

Explore, Discover and Get Lost in the Fun!
Begin these unique interactive road trip tours on the Main Road (Rt. 25) either; just east of Riverhead, or just east of Southold. (starting locations will be provided). Your team will solve puzzles, complete challenges, and explore scenic locations and historic landmarks. Each tour is approximately 10-15 miles. This scavenger hunt will take you down country roads and scenic routes with over 20 iconic landmarks and roadside attractions. Travel down roads that, for thousands of years, were once only trails and footpaths for deer and the local Corchaug Native Americans . This is an area rich in history going back to 1640 when the English settled in Southold and where homes dating back to the 1600s still stand today. It is a mix of classic colonial New England and iconic “Route 66” type Americana landmarks.

The North Fork has long been a destination for vacationers and day-trippers. Surrounded by water it has been a travel spot even before the Long Island Railroad laid tracks out to Greenport in the mid 1800s. Today people enjoy this slower-paced lifestyle that’s rich in history, agriculture, maritime activities and charm. There are also over 40 wineries in this area known as “Long Island Wine Country.”
Explore the North Fork together and have fun taking in the “beauty and magic” of this special place we call home! “North Fork Scavenger Hunt” is a memorable road trip – great for couples, families, history buffs, car clubs or other organizations. We will help guide you (through your smartphone) to special locations to take photos, look carefully for clues and solve questions. You can be competitive and try to make our leaderboard or leisurely explore a location or get drinks/food along the way. If you like to Geocaching or Treasure Hunting you will love our scavenger hunts.
